IS UFoA ON OUR PLAYLISTS?

No. And we’re not sure what the future holds, but we’d need to build a complete playlist to house this. Seems like something we’d do…

Alright. You’ll need to buckle up.

“Feb 2026 sees our 2nd release - available as digital download, streaming, and once more a limited edition 7” vinyl, again it’s a double A-side release.

A is Youth & Gaudi x Uncle Fester on Acid - Frequency Warfare (a Bass Weapon deconstruction) where Uncle Fester on Acid underlines his signature sound: stripping tunes to within an inch of their lives, only to go on and create massive new soundscapes from the original source material. This timehis inspiration was initiated by 80s ZTT-legends The Art of Noise.

AA is Jabbadub’s - Abazir (Uncle Fester on Acid remix) from Polish electrodub maestro Lukasz Dinort. While keeping the tune’s original arrangement alive, twisting his mad knobs resulted in a thundering bassbin troubler & shelf wobbler remix from Uncle Fester. For this release at dubsyndrome we thought that this true deconstruction deserved an Alien Levi re-master and a release on vinyl.”

We’re specifically looking and listening to Jabbadub.

This is made for speakers; listening to it on a laptop or tinny headphones won’t give you the full experience. In fact, this is the type of music you put on headphones with spatial/360 and lie down on the floor somewhere. The point is, let it wash over you.

The layers are stunning and crisp, opening up into a wide soundscape pretty quickly. The robotic, electronic middle/back layers are the perfect backdrop for the dreamy keys that drift in and out. What is particularly impressive is that it holds true to the source material while being worlds apart.

The most annoying thing about the track is that even though it is over 4 minutes long, it’s not long enough.

The resonant synth bass, gorgeous pads, and multiple layers thick with texture and wide with soundscape deserve the best you’ve got in terms of listening equipment.
