Lodz was not the city I expected to see A$AP Rocky in. It's not Warsaw, it's not the obvious stop. But it sold out so fast they had to add a second date on the 14th. I've heard from people who caught other artists at the National Stadium in Warsaw that the sound there is genuinely bad, so honestly, I'm glad this one happened in Lodz instead.

It's worth remembering how long we waited for this. Don't Be Dumb is his first album since TESTING in 2018. It was teased back in 2022, then buried under years of delays, one of them the A$AP Relli shooting trial that had him facing decades before he was acquitted on all counts in early 2025. So this run isn't just another arena tour. It's the first proper victory lap for a record that almost didn't happen, and it landed at No. 1, his first chart-topper since At.Long.Last.A$AP in 2015.

The show started about 40 minutes late. Nobody minded; it just bought more time for merch and a drink before things kicked off.

The staging opened with a move I was waiting for, because he pulls it every night: a giant DON'T BE DUMB logo lit up dead center on the arena floor, and that's where Rocky walked out, with his security and dancers around him dressed as a full SWAT team. People fought harder for a spot down there than for the front barricade.

A quick word on that HELICOPTER music video, because I love it. It kicked off an AI argument online the second it dropped (the visuals are that surreal), but Rocky shot it down himself, posting "NOT Ai GENERATED, JUST GENERATIONAL" on repeat. It's his signature animated, GTA-flavored world, directed with Dan Streit, and I'm glad the wildest-looking thing in the whole rollout came from actual craft and not a prompt.

Rocky up there singing into the megaphone, it looked incredible visually and the crowd's energy was insane. Every single person had a white t-shirt up in the air, “spinning it like a helicopter." The screens were running visuals like binoculars locking onto someone, or a gun sight lining up a shot. He stayed in that same spot up top for STOLE YA FLOW too and the floor did a massive mosh pit. Honestly that kept happening every few songs, so we hung back a bit so we wouldn't get run over. By RIOT he was down again with a bazooka and the entire SWAT crew.

None of that staging is just decoration. The whole tour is built as one long surveillance-state set piece, and it's in the record itself, not only the show. The tracklist runs on SWAT Team, Order of Protection, No Trespassing, Stop Snitching. Rocky has linked the album to the chaos of his last few years, and with him cast as the man the searchlights are hunting, it's hard not to read the show as him restaging all of it, the cameras, the courts, the being-watched, and turning it into a spectacle he's finally the one directing. A concept this big only works if the execution can carry it, and here it could. The staging, lights, and production were all buttoned up to the last detail, nothing about this felt half done.

The loudest scream of the night from the girls (and probably the guys too) was when he took off his headscarf and mask while standing on the stage and smiled. But like he said himself at the end, "don't be mad at your girlfriend if she has a crush on me." Lol. He's really that pretty. Pretty Flacko Jodye in the flesh. (Fangirling moment, allowed.)

Outside the new album, Peso and Purple Swag also made it into the set. The classics were:

Call me basic, but Sundress was my favorite moment of the whole night. I listen to it basically every day. L$D genuinely feels like flying, or like being high. I didn't film most of it; I knew the end was close and I wanted to actually be there. Don't Be Dumb/Trip Baby closed on that same haze.

You could tell the crowd was clearly waiting for these more than for the new record. Which brings me to the one honest tension of the night. It's not that the new songs fell flat, they didn't. HELICOPTER, STOLE YA FLOW, RIOT, the opening down on the floor, that's where the mosh pits and the pure adrenaline lived. But the classics hit a different nerve. When Fashion Killa, Peso or L$D dropped, the whole room was singing, not just moving, and you could feel people had been waiting all night for exactly that. The new record brings the spectacle; the old stuff brings the singalong everyone already carries in them. STAY HERE 4 LIFE with Brent Faiyaz was the one new track that crossed into that second category, already loved like a classic. Give the rest a year on the road and I think a few of them get there too.

The other thing that comes with Rocky is the fashion, and it's not a side hobby for him. He co-chaired the 2025 Met Gala under "Superfine: Tailoring Black Style" in a suit he designed himself through AWGE, his own label and creative house. It showed in the crowd. Every outfit read as cohesive with the tour and with his own style, and somehow every one was still original. That's the live version of real influence: he sets a dress code just by existing, and a whole arena dressed individually but on-theme is exactly what that looks like. Literally everyone in the crowd looked incredible.
