The most interesting thing about us is that all of this was a total accident.
We didn’t expect to hit over 20,000 subscribers. We didn’t expect to have an over 30% open rate. And we definitely didn’t expect to see a daily flood of new artists sending us their music. Humble brag? Us? Neverrrr…
But looking back, it made sense.
Before SongsBrew, there was FreeYourMusic.
It’s a music transfer app that has been serving the community since long before Spotify boycotts and Benson Boone were even a thing. You know the industry and you know where people are going and when.
As a bonus, anyone who signs up for SongsBrew using the in-app or website pop-up gets 600 transfers for free. Pretty cool.
It isn’t just SongsBrew and FreeYourMusic though.
Music24 and MusicAPI make up the rest of our music-focused products.
What started as a single weekly newsletter has grown into web-only content, SongsBrew RADAR, and unfiltered reviews.
Each week we cover topics that are on our mind. Some weeks it’s a theoretical exploration, while other weeks we’ll show you nine new artists and tell you that your taste in music sucks. It’s always human.
The risk of a typo or offending a reader is never zero, and that’s exactly how we like it.
