Your Face/Your Temper is a vocal-driven indie rock song with dynamic and distorted guitar and emotionally intense songwriting. It’s the first single from her upcoming album, Shallow Sea, out October 16.
Why do we love it? Firstly, it is catchy as hell, the easy snare pushes forward, thick, lush bass sitting under it. Her voice is light but has a depth and a strength to it that pulls you through the chorus. At first listen, we really thought it was something from Gracie Abrams.
It’s not a complicated, overworked listen; Jane’s vocals are really shown off about the 2-minute mark. Stripped back for a beat, and then they come back with a full chest behind them.
Your Face/Your Temper was an immediate addition to our playlists, and we highly recommend checking out her EP that was released last year.
