Cammi Kol

Cammi Kol - Fossil. Do we love it? Yes. We’ve had it on repeat.
FOSSIL started life as a stripped-back guitar ballad. It took on a new shape during sessions with producer Laurens van de Loo at Van de Loo Studios, building from a quiet, intimate opening into a sudden, high-energy synth-pop chorus. It opens with the line "Your number is a fossil in my hands," which Kol describes as the bittersweet ache of holding onto the past, and how fragile healing can feel when an old memory resurfaces.
The track is backed by the Feierwerk Music Grant. Cammi, a staple of the Munich busking and live scene, is supporting the release with a heavy run of venue showcases, festival dates, and street performances across Germany through October. FOSSIL is written by Deanna Curulli (Cammi Kol), composed and produced by Laurens van de Loo, with Bernhard Klier on guitars and bass and Laura Baird on keyboard, and mastered by Jacob Munnery at Clockwork Audio Mastering
