From rap to country and everything in-between. Post Malone is known for being one of the nicest people in the industry. The new album is packed with big country stars including Blake Shelton, Jelly Roll, Dolly Parton, and Morgan Wallen.

The album is a different speed for Posty fans - his first two Number One albums Beerbongs & Bentleys and Hollywood’s Bleeding are more rock, rap and pop.

F1-Trillion was tipped to reach the top spot ahead of its release. It launched with 250,000 units, of which 213 million were streams! Post Malone is well-known for stepping outside of his usual genre and experimenting with musical collaborations. While this is his first official country album, it is perfectly timed to capitalize (and might well be contributing towards) the rise of country music.

Song of The Summer

Summer is soon coming to a close for 50% of the world, and the releases have been fast and furious. There are the obvious chart-toppers like Sabrina Carpenter, Charli XCX, and Billie Eilish - who have all seen massive success over the last few months.

As always, the polls and data are coming in thick and fast, with the who's who at the top. Rolling Stone released their ‘These Are the Songs of the Summer’ playlist, and it has everyone who might spring to mind from mainstream music. Data from July shows that Kendrick Lamar was sitting pretty with 538 million streams for ‘Not Like Us.’ However, the latest data has Post Malone with ‘I Had Some Help’ firmly in position 1.

But what are the opinion polls saying?

Taking a leaf from RS, we asked some of our team what their song of the summer is. Shaboozey'sA Bar Song (Tipsy)’ was one, which had 410.5 million views in July, and Kendrick Lamar - ‘Not Like Us’ was the other, with a massive 538 million streams—very on-trend listening. A runner-up was Eminem - ‘Houdini.’

The Latin Music Week lineup for October 14-18, 2024, has been announced. Now in its 35th year, the Billboard Latin Music Week festival is highly anticipated. For millions, this is the music event of the year. And with this lineup, rightfully so.

J. Balvin, a Colombian superstar who, for many, didn’t hit their headphones until collaborations with Cardi B in ‘I Like It’ or ‘Sorry (Remix)’ - Justin Bieber, is the Headline act.

Latin Music Week doesn’t just feature live music; there are special events like Next Gen Reggaetón: An Evening Curated by J Balvin, a Superstar Q&A with Leila Cobo (chief content officer for Latin/ Español at Billboard) moderating.

With Latin music making incredible waves in the charts, this legacy event has been tipped to be an unmatched celebration of artists.

The lineup includes: Lele Pons, Gloria Estefan, Danny Ocean, Mau y Ricky, Bad Gyal, Sophia Talamas, JOP, N.O.R.E., Domelipa, Yeri Mua, Keityn, Maria Becerra, Fat Joe, Paola Jara, DANNA, Luis Alfonso, Mon LaFerte, Peso Pluma, Pipe Bueno, Yeison Jiménez.

Tokchart tracks the rising trending sounds on TikTok, and while they do feed into the streaming data and give us hits like Hozier - Too Sweet.’ They can also bring older releases back from chart obscurity.

Right now, Clean Bandit and Zara Larsson’sSymphony’ is trending. The song was originally released in 2017.

Billboard also has a TikTok top 50 chart that shows what people are listening to and using for videos. ‘Kehlani’ by Jordan Adetunji, is currently at number 1, with 11 weeks on the charts. The top five might have only two familiar names to mainstream chart followers too.

  1. Alibi’ by Sevdaliza, Pabllo Vittar & Yseult
  2. Big Dawgs’ - Hanumankind X Kalmi
  3. Million Dollar Baby’ - Tommy Richman (also in the Rolling Stone Song of the Summer Data).
  4. Photo Shoot’ - Drama & Gucci Mane

The most popular songs on TikTok are based on views, user engagement, and video creation. Comparing the streaming charts to the TikTok charts shows some interesting difference in music listening and how music works with content consumption.

No one has more of a love-hate relationship with Oasis than the brothers themselves. After 15 years of wishing and waiting for fans, they announced a 2025 Reunion Tour. Liam and Noel have been airing their dirty laundry about each other for years, which has been part and parcel of their schtick forever.

To quote the band: “The guns have fallen silent. The stars have aligned. The great wait is over. Come see. It will not be televised.”

They teased fans with a few tweets, one in particular got fans excited ahead of the real announcement: Liam Gallagher posted: "I never did like that word FORMER."

Getting tickets was going to be a tough ask, though. We are talking about 15 years of waiting and global fans; the ticket scrum will be like a Taylor Swift tour.

Fans needed to register for a ballot that closed on the 28th of August at 7pm. The pre-sale ballot takes place on Friday 30th of August. Only those who registered will be able to buy pre-sale tickets. General sale starts on Saturday 31st of August.

And even with registering for the ballot, and the pre-sale the tickets are first come first served. And it stands to sell out in a matter of seconds.

May the odds ever be in your favor if you’re Mad For It!
